Trick-Or-Treating By Proxy
Added: November 3rd, 2006 (tagged with: holiday)
While I am too old to go Trick-Or-Treating by myself, I still get to reap the benefits! And not just from one source either... I've got three:
- Leftover candy
- Candy brought into work
- Candy at my parent's house (Shalese's candy)
Leftover Candy
Leftover candy is all the candy that did not get passed out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Stephanie brought a lot of candy into work with her, but not all of it got passed out.
Candy Brought Into Work
A lot of people I work with have children who are still young enough to go trick-or-treating, but don't want their children to eat all of the candy they bring home. Result: they bring loads of candy into work.
Candy At My Parent's House (Shalese's Candy)
My dad bought an insane amount of candy. There was enough candy to walk up and down the street they live on leaving a trail of candy for kids to follow into a hidden trap where they would be eaten alive by savage werewolves...
I'm not sure what my niece went out as for Halloween (she is only 2), but I'm sure she has a good deal of candy herself that her parents won't let her eat. I know last years stash lasted for a few months before being brought into my dad's work. So, more options for me to choose from when I get home.
Conclusion
So, even though I am too old to go Trick-Or-Treating by myself, I still get to reap all the benefits from the holiday. =)
