The Building Differentiated User Experiences with Windows Vista session highlighted Windows Presentation Foundation, XAML, and Sidebar. In this session, there was also a presentation done by Travelocity to promote their new Travelocity Desktop FareWatcher ® gadget for Windows Vista.
Building Connected Applications with Windows Vista
Windows Communication Foundation and People Near Me (Microsoft's Peer-To-Peer solution) were the main highlights of the Building Connected Applications with Windows Vista session.
Connecting and Extending the Microsoft Office Client Applications
In Connecting and Extending the Microsoft Office Client Applications session, various demonstrations were shown implementing the Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System technologies. The most notable of which is Duet, a collaboration between SAP and Microsoft that ties SAP's business processes into Microsoft's Office Suite. Pretty cool stuff, I suggest watching the Duet Demos. Other demonstrations in this session included building custom ribbon bars and task panes in Word and Excel specifically.

With Building Key Business Applications on the 2007 Microsoft Office Server Platform, the interoperability between Microsoft Office and the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) was highlighted.
