Wrigley Field: Bleacher Suite
Added: May 14th, 2007 (tagged with: baseball, work)
Last Thursday (May 10th), Leapfrog Online held their annual Cubs outing at Wrigley Field. This year, the company got us tickets to the new "Batter's Eye" (Bleacher) Suite in center field. The air conditioned Batter's Eye Suite has multiple flat panel displays, two rows of seating, a bar, and restrooms. But, being a Cubs fan, I would have much preferred sitting out in the bleachers, soaking up the sun, as the Batter's Eye Suite feels disconnected from the ball game. The flat panel TVs are required to actually hear what is going on in the game. The roar of the crowd, the messages from the announcers, everything, is drowned out inside the Batter's Eye to provide more of an area for corporate mingling that watching the game.
Stephanie and I bought our fathers a few tickets to tour Wrigley Field on Sunday, May 27th. So, if you are interested in the Chicago Cubs or baseball history, stay tuned at the end of the month for pictures and stories from the tour!
